| Had a wonderful stay here for the week. Zannie had set up the cottage especially for us. Went to the beach every day, sometimes for the whole day. Somedays there were big waves that were fun to play with. There were a lot of other kids there and at times there were 6 kids in the water all at once : Colin, Olivia, their cousins ...(cousin Heather's daughter), Hannah (Dougall's daughter), and Max and Annibel (friends of Heather's kids). |
| 'Tea at the Beach' was rigorously observed every day. I was relegated to the in-law section with Uncle Peter once Dougall was there to crack the whip. |
| Visited with lots of people: Zannie, Aunt Anne and Uncle Peter, Ewie, Libbie, Patsi and Bob, Aunt Sheila, Putty and Alison, Katy and Katy, Lizzie, Dougall, Heather and Doug and their friends Jonathan and Donna, John F, Uncle Charlie, and more.... |
| We went fishing one day in the rowboat, but didn't catch anything. Colin and I went for a sail with Doug (Heather's husband). Olivia learned to swim. She started the week wearing a life jacket in the lake the whole time, but was swimming by the time the week was done. |
