Visited the 'Museum of the Plains Indians' in Browning, Montana. Interesting, but not very complete. There was a slide show, showing a quick history of the Plains Indians that was quite interesing
Drove to Alberta to Fort McLeod, a restored RCMP fort. Very good. Much more complete coverage of Indian history than the museum in Browning, even though it is a RCMP museum.
We saw all the traditional 'Fort' things, like bunk houses and 100-year old dentist and lawyer offices. There was an RCMP musical ride.
Part way through our tour of the museum, we were invited to a performance at an old theatre in downtown Fort McLeod, so we left the fort and followed the performers to the theatre and took part in an interactive theatre performance by acting students. It was hilarious.
We tried to get a campsite in the campground in Waterton Park but all the camping was full. Waterton Park is a big and famous campground that is joined to Glacier Park in Montana. It is a world heritage site. We ended up staying at a private campground, close the Waterton Park gates. It wasn't bad, but turned out to be better than the Waterton Park campground.
