Last day at the cabin. Went into Masset and checked email at Rosa's Internet Cafe. Then on to the Maritime Museum. White woman wouldn't stop talking. Not much to see either.
Drove through Old Masset again and stopped for some Haida 'Performance Art' (The garage/workshop/store was empty. We went in and the carvers eventully wandered out from the house, sat down, and started working. After we left, we saw them sauntering back into the house). Bought a yellow cedar feather. Spent the rest of the day on the beach.

Old Masset is starting to repolulate the village coastline with totem poles. There's about 5 up now. In it's heyday, about 100 years ago, there were about 100. |
